Jim is leveraging his experience building a successful business with his partners as a tenant in the Purdue Research Park to assist new high tech companies.

Jim spent the past six years building an IT / Media based company while serving markets including the Life Sciences, Nanotech, Electronics, and Advanced Manufacturing.

Jim also worked on highly custom and cutting edge solutions related to the visualization of information. These solutions included everything from building one of the largest stereoscopic tiled display walls (imagine 24 projectors making one 12′x7′ 3D image you interact with) at the Purdue Envision Center, to determining the most effective way to visually explain complex scientific concepts to critical audiences. Jim is also a recent recipient of the Top 40 Young Professionals Under 40 award for Tippecanoe county.

Sean Mooney

Dr. Mooney is Associate Professor and Director of Bioinformatics at the Buck Institute for Age Research in Novato California. He is past founder and director of the Indiana University School of Medicine Bioinformatics Core. His interests focus on leading the next generation informatics tools for biomedical research and in understanding the underlying molecular causes of genetic disease. He also has experience leading the construction of communities; he is co-founder of one of the largest nonprofits focusing on biomedical entrepreneurship in the SF Bay Area, BioE2E (http://bioe2e.org), the Indiana Biomedical Entrepreneur Network (http://www.indianabionetwork.org/), and the Bioinformatics Curriculum Collaboration (http://compbio.iupui.edu/BCC/). He is also collaboratively funded as an investigator to provide the informatics tools to several projects.

Kristin Jones

Indiana Health Industry Forum

Kristin serves as the Vice President, Business Development for the Indiana Health Industry Forum, a non-profit organization serving as a chamber of commerce for the state�s health and life science industries.

She previously served as Director for Business Development, Life Sciences and International Affairs, for The Indy Partnership, a regional economic development organization serving an 11 county region in central Indiana. She was responsible for marketing the region to life science companies and worked closely with the central Indiana BioCrossroads initiative.

Additionally, Kristin spent almost ten years with the Indiana Department of Commerce serving as the director of the Office of International Trade, overseeing the state�s export assistance programs and network of 14 foreign offices. Kristin also worked as an attraction project manager in the Department of Commerce�s business development division.

A native of London, Ontario, Canada, she received her B.A. in French from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 1990 and in 1992 received a Master of Public Affairs degree, also from Indiana University.

Dr. Jeremy Schieler is a Business Development Manager at the Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation (IURTC) since 2007. Schieler is responsible for technology evaluation, patent strategy, marketing, licensing, and promoting strong ties between Indiana University and industry. His research experience includes organic synthetic and analytical chemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, and neurodegeneration. Prior to joining the IURTC, Dr. Schieler held research appointments at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women�s Hospital. He has a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University.
